Jetline Travel Limited has ceased trading as an Atol holder, the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed
It comes after cruise passengers were left seeking answers when Carnival cruise brands Princess Cruises, Holland America Line and Cunard cancelled some outstanding bookings made through Jetline due to an alleged “breach of contract”. All other bookings, including all P&O Cruises bookings, have been transferred to direct bookings.
In a statement issued on Thursday (6 March), the CAA said: “If you are currently overseas and you hold a scheduled flight e-ticket, the flight remains valid for the return journey. You are advised to check-in with the airline as per the existing flight ticket.
“The CAA is speaking to the service providers for the other elements of your trip to ensure these continue as planned.”
The organisation advised passengers with Atol flight inclusive package bookings who have been issued flight tickets that their flights may be valid for travel, but they should check with the airline.
“If the airline confirms you have a valid ticket for travel, you have the option to travel,” it added. “However, other services have not been paid to the local suppliers and you will be required to re-arrange and pay for these services again. To avoid any issues in resort, you should confirm the cost of all the services in advance of travel where possible.”
Princess, Holland America Line and Cunard said in a statement: “We have already contacted our impacted guests and our priority remains in supporting them. Our teams are available to assist with alternative arrangements. Guests who need information in relation to compensation should contact ATOL.”
On the cancellations, the brands said: “We recognise how disappointing this news will be for affected guests and express our sincere apologies for the disruption caused. This decision was not made lightly.”
Reviews have been left by impacted consumers on Trustpilot. One said: “Our holiday including cruise, flights and hotels appear to has gone. Totally unable to contact Jetline.”
Another wrote: “We have been trying to make contact with Jetline Cruises since last week both by telephone and email but hitting a brick wall. When we phone they just “ring out” and then go dead.”
According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Jetline Travel and its subsidiaries – which included Jetline Cruises – was covered by its Atol to carry 4,790 passengers in the year to the end of September 2025.
