Cunard to visit more than 150 agents in two-day sales blitz

Cunard

Cunard intends to visit more than 150 travel agents, across 70 stores, in a “far-reaching” two-day sales blitz.

A 15-strong team will hit the streets on 7 and 8 March, to deliver in-person news on the launch of the cruise line’s winter 2025 programme – which goes on sale on 15 March to CWC members and on general sale on 16 March.

The sales team – which will provide updates and information, agent collateral and give away Shine reward points – will be joined by Cunard head office staff, to form the operator’s “biggest ever on-the-road campaign”, a statement said,

Cunard director of UK sales Tom Mahoney said: “Travel agents are critical to our success, and this record-breaking sales blitz is just one of many initiatives we have planned to ensure we support our agent partners as much as possible.

“We can’t wait to have our extended team out on the road, to demonstrate ongoing appreciation to our travel agent partners and share the exciting news of our winter 2025 programme.”

Cunard focusing on trade engagement

In February, Cunard confirmed it will welcome up to 160 travel agents on board its fleet this year.

Some of the itineraries on offer for agents include a seven-night voyage to the Norwegian fjords aboard Queen Mary 2, a three-night fly-cruise from Barcelona to Rome on Queen Victoria, and a seven-night voyage to Alaska on board Queen Elizabeth.

Mahoney also recently spoke to Cruise Trade News in its Cruise Corner interview series, outlining how the line is putting trade engagement at the top of its priority list.
