Cruise Corner: Cunard UK director of sales Tom Mahoney

Cunard, Queen Anne

It has been an overwhelmingly positive few months for Cunard, as the line’s UK director of sales Tom Mahoney explains in the latest Cruise Corner interview.

Earlier this year, Cunard reported that in the first week of January it booked more guests than during any equivalent period in the last decade.

At the time, the cruise line said it had “strong booking momentum” across 2023 and 2024 sailings, with summer itineraries and Queen Anne’s (pictured above) maiden season proving to be particularly popular.

Then, a couple of weeks ago, it confirmed it has doubled its fam trip programme for this year and will be hosting travel agents on eight separate voyages, up from the four it ran in 2022.

All in all, it points to a stronger level of engagement with the trade. Tom Mahoney goes into the finer details in the interview below.
