In April, MSC Cruises welcomed MSC World Europa to Europe, following a maiden season in the Arabian Gulf. The line’s UK & Ireland MD Antonio Paradiso joins the Cruise Corner to discuss this and much more.
As ever, there’s never a dull moment at MSC Cruises. The pandemic aside, the cruise line has rapidly added to its fleet over recent years, gradually attracting more and more people on board.
MSC World Europa – its first vessel to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) – is now sailing in Europe, with seven-night itineraries calling at the ports of Genoa, Naples and Messina, as well as Valletta, Barcelona and Marseille.
In June, MSC will hold a naming ceremony for its latest flagship, MSC Euribia, in Copenhagen.
The vessel – again powered by LNG – will sail out of Southampton from October 2023 and throughout winter 2023/24.
For Paradiso and his colleagues in the UK team, it’s a busy and exciting time.
