MSC Cruises has announced the appointment of Rob Scott to the new role of senior advisor, guest experiences and growth strategy, UK & Ireland
Scott will report to the line’s vice president of international sales Antonio Paradiso. He brings 10 years of experience to the role, all of which have ben spent with Carnival UK across a range of roles. Most recently, he was vice president of brand and marketing strategy for P&O Cruises.
Paradiso said: “We are delighted that Rob Scott has joined MSC Cruises in this new role, which will see him focusing on giving guests the best experience onboard our ships.
“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Rob for many years – he is extremely knowledgeable and has extensive experience across multiple industries. I am looking forward to working with Rob on many exciting projects to support growth in the UK and Ireland.”
Scott added: “I am thrilled to be joining MSC Cruises at a period of massive growth for the company. MSC is a truly international brand, and with ten new ships launching over the next ten years it’s a very exciting time to join the business. I am looking forward to delivering more unique experiences for UK and Ireland guests and bringing my creative energy to ensure that the brand vision is delivered.”
It comes two weeks after MSC bolstered its trade support team with two new roles and one expanded position. Claire Smith has been promoted to head of MSC Yacht Club, Lauren Perks has joined as trade support manager and Laura Wilson has taken on the position of field sales and development manager. Reporting into head of sales Alyshia Bartlett, Wilson will head a team of six, including five regional sales managers, while driving new business opportunities for the line.
