CLIA has revealed it will host two expedition-themed dinners for its cruise line and travel trade partners later this year.

The events will held in London on 10 October and in Manchester on 12 October.

Both will start at 5.30pm, with the venues to be confirmed shortly. Registration will open at the end of August for CLIA member agents.

The association said the dinners, on offer for the first time, will provide delegates with the latest product updates, as well as networking and collaboration opportunities.

CLIA ‘supporting agents with expedition insight’

CLIA UK & Ireland MD Andy Harmer said: “The expedition sector is experiencing tremendous growth and these dinners recognise this increasing demand and the growing opportunities for the trade to increase their sales.

“We’re looking forward to further supporting delegates with their expedition insight and know-how, as part of our wider aims to promote and support this exciting, specialist sector.”

CLIA has held a number of dedicated expedition initiatives and activities over recent years, including residential and showcase events and an ongoing series of webinars.

In July, the association also urged travel agents to outline their views on sustainability and responsible travel to “help shape future trade-friendly resources and training materials”.
