CLIA’s #ChooseCruise is dedicating its sixth week to highlighting the onboard and ashore activities suitable for families.

The #ChooseCruise campaign is running globally across CLIA cruise lines this month.

The campaign aims to boost UK cruise sales and includes an online toolkit to help CLIA member agents capitalise on the promotion.

Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland director, said: “Cruise holidays offer family fun by the bucket-load with enough attractions and distractions to keep everyone happy, no matter the age.

“Never before has there been such a wide choice of family-friendly ships bursting with exciting diversions that promise to wow the most energetic youngsters, captivate world-weary teens and excite the adults too.

“There are exciting laser-tag arenas, and some of the newest ships even have mini-racetracks where wannabe racing drivers can zip around in speedy go-karts.

“Tiny tots are catered for admirably in nurseries that take babies from six months old and toddler play areas, while kids’ clubs are aimed at children from two or three years upwards and split into different age groups with a full programme of parties, scavenger hunts and games.”

Harmer also highlighted range of family cabins on ships. He said: “Family-friendly cabins come with sofa beds or bunks that drop down from the ceiling to cater for groups of up to four or five, while more spacious alternatives are inter-connecting rooms or swanky suites with that may even have their own on-balcony hot tub.”
