Celestyal will temporarily suspend all calls to Israel on its Three Continents itinerary until the end of November 2023 as the deadly conflict between Hamas and Israel continues.
The impacted sailing is the seven-night Three Continents cruise, which has departures on 21 and 28 October and 4, 11, 18 and 25 November 2023.
The line said it will continue to monitor the situation for any itineraries departing after 25 November.
“Following the recent events in Israel, Celestyal is closely monitoring the situation and maintains constant communication with the Israeli authorities,” a spokesperson for the line said.
“Their top priority is the health, safety, and comfort of their guests, and after careful consideration they have made the necessary updates to their itineraries by temporarily cancelling the call into Israel.”
Celestyal hoping for ‘rapid return’ of peace to Israel
Celestyal CEO Chris Theophilides said the company is in close coordination with the authorities, and the safety, security, and comfort of the line’s guests remains its “upmost” priority.
“Firstly, as a business, our thoughts are with those touched by the events in Israel. We wish for the safety of everyone affected and a rapid return of peace to the country,” he added.
Celestyal will work alongside its travel agent partners to contact affected customers to advise them of the updates to their itineraries and the additional provisions which have been made.
Earlier this year the line’s newest vessel, Celestyal Journey, set sail on its maiden voyage in the Mediterranean.
