Celestyal Journey, the newest ship in the Celestyal fleet, set sail on its maiden voyage at the beginning of September.
The ship departed from Piraeus, Athens on 2 September, on a seven-night Idyllic Aegean itinerary, visiting Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini, Mykonos, and Milos.
Celestyal Journey features 148 balcony suites, seven dining venues, eight bars and lounges, expansive sun decks, two pools and an entire deck dedicated to wellness.
Following its inaugural sailings, the ship will operate the Steps of Paul itinerary, calling on Athens, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Istanbul, Dikili, Kusadasi and Patmos, followed by the seven-night Three Continents voyage, visiting Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, and Turkey.
Celestyal ‘investing in fleet’
Celestyal chief commercial officer Lee Haslett said: “I was delighted to join our crew and customers on board the inaugural sailing of our newest ship, Celestyal Journey.
“She signals a new and exciting chapter in our offering as we continue to invest into our fleet, aligning the company’s vision to offer a new premium stay-in-style and experience-rich cruise offering to the Greek islands and eastern Mediterranean”.
The operator has also extended its special promotion of a complimentary suite upgrade for all bookings made until 31 October, as well as offering €100 on-board spend in celebration of CLIA cruise week on all Journey bookings made in September, for travel for the rest of the year.
Speaking in June, Haslett added: “Our goal is to immerse our agent and operator partners in the Celestyal Journey via in-person ship visits, fam trips and training to expand their product knowledge and truly benefit their customers.”
