Celestyal has unveiled more details about its new ship, Celestyal Journey, following an extensive multimillion refurbishment and technical overhaul.
The ship, due to set sail on 2 September 2023, will feature 148 balcony suites, seven dining venues, eight bars and lounges, expansive sun decks, two pools and an entire deck dedicated to wellness.
Celestyal Journey will include the line’s first ever penthouse with private terrace, the Stargazer Suite, offering a “premium luxury cruise experience”, a statement said.
The ship will also “elevate the cruise line’s Mediterranean-style rest and relaxation offering” with the Sozo Experience, inspired by the Greek tradition of wellness of mind, body and spirit.
The main entertainment hub will be the Amphitheatro, a live show lounge that spans two decks, while Celestyal Journey will also have a Kids’ Club and arcade games.
‘Exciting time’ for Celestyal
Celestyal CCO Lee Haslett said: “This is an incredibly exciting time for Celestyal and we are looking forward to working closely with our trade partners to highlight our much-elevated on-board product alongside our renowned brand proposition of destination-rich, immersive travel experiences.

Celestyal Journey will initially sail the seven-night Idyllic Aegean itinerary, visiting Athens, Thessaloniki, Kusadasi, Heraklion (Crete), Santorini, Mykonos and Milos.
Following these inaugural sailings, it will operate the Steps of Paul itinerary, calling on Athens, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Istanbul, Dikili, Kusadasi and Patmos, followed by the seven-night Three Continents voyage, visiting Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, and Turkey.
Celestyal recently announced the appointment of Janet Parton in the new role of vice-president of business development, UK, Europe and Australia.
