Celebrity Cruises will run its largest ever UK and Ireland deployment in 2020.

Cruises in summer 2020 on board Celebrity Apex, Celebrity Silhouette and Celebrity Reflection go on general sale on 29 November, opening two days ahead of this for members of the line’s loyalty scheme.

Celebrity Cruises UK, Ireland and Asia vice president and managing director, Jo Rzymowska, said: “2020 is a landmark year for Celebrity Cruises. The commitment and support of our trade partners is recognised in our largest ever investment into the UK and Ireland.

“I’m incredibly excited to launch, name and operate Celebrity Apex out of Southampton for its mini season and first ever cruises in April 2020.

“Plus, Celebrity Silhouette will be one of the first ships to unveil a cutting edge, refreshed look, thanks to our $500 million ‘Revolution’ investment, which sees us take the fleet to the Edge. 2020 is an exciting culmination of Celebrity Cruises’ vision for the growth of our business in Europe.”

Celebrity Apex will be officially named in Southampton in April 2020.

Five cruises to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe ranging from seven to 10 nights will then be on offer, before the ship repositions to Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) to continue its European season.

Featuring an inaugural Spain and Portugal cruise, plus two European Capital Cities itineraries, Celebrity Apex will also offer a sailing to the Norwegian Fjords. 

Returning to Southampton for a third consecutive season, Celebrity Silhouette’s guests embarking in Southampton in April 2020 will be the first to enjoy Celebrity Cruises’ multi-million-dollar Revolution upgrade programme.

Celebrity Silhouette will feature two new Suite categories, a new exclusive outdoor lounge exclusively for Suite Class guests in the Retreat Sundeck, and a makeover throughout the ship.

New for Celebrity Silhouette’s 2020 destination programme is a 10-night Capital Cities cruise taking in Paris (from Le Havre), Copenhagen, Amsterdam and overnight stays in Oslo. The ship will also offer Iceland and Ireland itineraries with overnight stays in Reykjavik and Dublin.

During August 2020, there is a 13-night Italian Mediterranean and a 14-night Spain and Portugal cruise.

In addition, Celebrity Reflection will return to Dublin in spring 2020, the third consecutive year Celebrity has based a ship in Ireland.

There will be six sailings, including a new 10-night Irish Sea itinerary calling into destinations throughout Scotland, Ireland and England including Portland in Dorset for the first time. Itineraries to Iceland and the Norwegian Fjords will also return.

Celebrity Cruises has created a dedicated selling guide to support agents with booking the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

The newly launched CelebrityCentral.co.uk includes sales and marketing tools, and campaign assets.
