Celebrity Cruises to sail year-round in the Med in 2023

Celebrity Cruises returns to full operations as Celebrity Infinity sails

Celebrity Cruises will sail year-round in the Mediterranean from 2023.

The cruise line will operate itineraries from September 2023 through to March 2024 on Celebrity Infinity, the only Celebrity ship sailing in the region all year round.

The ship will start the winter season on nine and 10-night itineraries featuring the best of the Iberian Peninsula.

Rotating between setting sail from the ports of Barcelona and Lisbon, guests will visit destinations such as Palma de Mallorca and Seville, among others.

Celebrity Cruises to visit ‘ancient wonders’

From October 2023 to January 2024, Celebrity Infinity will cruise from Barcelona on 11 and 12-night itineraries, returning to Morocco for the first time since 2008. The ship will visit Tangier, Casablanca, and the Canary Islands.

Infinity will then return to Greece in February and March 2024 for 10 and 11-night itineraries taking in ancient wonders in Egypt and Greece, including The Great Pyramid, the Acropolis in Athens, The Temple of Artemis, and more.

Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “Being able to sail through the Mediterranean all winter will open up infinite possibilities for our guests to satiate their wanderlust, while experiencing new destinations.

“With these new 2023-2024 offerings, we will continue to reintroduce our guests to the world with itineraries that reconnect them with cultures and experiences that will last a lifetime.”

Earlier in 2022, Celebrity revealed that Celebrity Ascent – the fourth ship in the Edge class – will cruise the eastern Caribbean on its maiden voyage.
