Celebrity Cruises fourth Edge ship, Celebrity Ascent

Celebrity Cruises’ fourth Edge ship to sail the Caribbean on maiden voyage

Celebrity Ascent – the fourth ship in the Celebrity Cruises Edge class – will cruise the eastern Caribbean on its maiden voyage.

The ship will depart from Fort Lauderdale on 3 December 2023, calling at Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, and Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Following this, Celebrity Ascent will make roundtrip sailings from Celebrity’s terminal 25 at Port Everglades every Sunday, sailing through the islands on seven-night western and eastern Caribbean itineraries.

Celebrity Cruises CEO and president Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said: “We’re so excited to debut the spectacular Celebrity Ascent in the serene setting of the Caribbean where she and all of her guests will have their moment in the sun.

“She will be joined by her seven sisters all offering different experiences both on board and ashore. Celebrity is committed to bringing guests more sailing options and Caribbean destinations to choose from.”

Celebrity Cruises: Edge-class itineraries

Upon its launch, Ascent will join its three Edge-class sister ships – Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex, and Celebrity Beyond.

Beyond recently completed its sea trials, ahead of its debut on 27 April 2022, sailing from Southampton. Discover more of what’s on board in this special interactive feature.

From November 2023, Apex will embark on rotating seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries, while Beyond will operate nine, 10 and 11-night voyages to the southern Caribbean.

A shorter sailing on Beyond will take guests on a six-night cruise to Bimini, Bahamas.
