Celebrity Cruises trade marketing lead made redundant in company restructure

Hannah Simpson

Celebrity Cruises has made its head of trade marketing redundant following the line’s announcement it would be restructuring some of its teams

Hannah Simpson joined the brand in June 2024 as head of trade marketing, communications and support. She announced on Linkedin that she has been made redundant.

She wrote: “Well, this is definitely a post that I didn’t plan to write. Redundancy is always a cruel process to be part of and I’m very sad to say that my role at Celebrity Cruises has been made redundant and, therefore, I am open to work.

“I would love to hear from you if you have any opportunities coming up or would simply like a chat or a catch-up.”

In June, Celebrity Cruises confirmed it would be reviewing its sales and marketing team structures across several markets, although it would not be drawn on specifics.

A spokesperson for the line said: “We regularly review how our teams are structured to best support the brand. We are proposing some changes to align our sales and marketing functions more closely across markets.

Elsewhere, Celebrity’s director of sales Nicola McNeish has been appointed senior director of sales, UK and Ireland for Silversea.

Cruise Trade News has contacted Celebrity Cruises for further comment.
