APT has announced that its brand ambassador, chef and TV personality Luke Nguyen, will host three gourmet-themed river cruises in 2019.
Nguyen, a Vietnamese-Australian chef, will be on board for sailings to Vietnam, Myanmar and France.

The 16-day Vietnam and Mekong Cruise, sailing the Mekong River to Siem Reap, departs 28 November 2019 from Ho Chi Minh City. It is priced at £5,995pp, twin share, and represents the eighth consecutive year that Nguyen has collaborated with APT in Vietnam.
It includes four Luke Nguyen Signature Experiences, including a walking tour of Old Saigon, as well as a Vietnamese cooking class at Nguyen’s GRAIN cooking studio.
Nguyen will also be present for the first three days of a seven-night river cruise on the AmaLotus, preparing a welcome dinner for guests on the first night and hosting ‘get to know Luke Nguyen’ sessions, before leaving the cruise in Tan Chau.
New for 2019 is the 18-day Hidden Wonders of Myanmar river cruise, priced from £6,795pp, twin share.
This itinerary sails from Yangon to Mandalay aboard the Samatha on 1 October 2019, with Nguyen escorting guests from Yangon to Bagan, from days one to 10.
In Yangon, the chef will devise a welcome dinner and take part in additional ‘getting to know’ sessions. Cooking demonstrations will also be held.
The third cruise is the Grand Bordeaux, a new 11-day itinerary from Paris to Bordeaux that includes three nights in Paris followed by a seven-night cruise on the AmaDolce.
This one-off itinerary is priced from £5,395pp, twin share and will depart Paris on 26 August 2019. Nguyen will join the cruise on day two, accompanying passengers on a visit to a culinary school in the French capital, as well as for dinner in Saint-Émilion.
APT’s river cruise holidays include return flights, home-to-airport transfers by private car, all on board meals and drinks, plus all sightseeing, a cruise director and local guides. Tipping and on board entertainment are also included.
