Carnival Panorama has successfully completed its sea trials in the Adriatic Sea ahead of its inaugural cruise from Long Beach on 11 December 2019.
The ship, which is currently in the final stages of construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Marghera, Italy, is the line’s first new ship on the West Coast in 20 years.
“Carnival Panorama is a wonderful addition to the fleet and she passed all of her manoeuvres and tests with flying colours. We can’t wait to welcome guests aboard this beautiful ship,” said Carnival Panorama captain Carlo Queirolo.
The ship will offer innovations such as a Sky Zone trampoline park and a new ChooseFun WaterWorks aqua park inspired by the line’s chief fun officer, former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, as well as venues such as Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse.
Guests will be able to choose from a variety of accommodations, including the tropics-inspired Havana area with colourful staterooms and its own Cuban-themed bar and pool; the Family Harbour suites and the Family Harbor Lounge, as well as Cloud 9 Spa staterooms with special amenities and privileges
Following an inaugural three-day voyage to Ensenada, Carnival Panorama will sail seven-day Mexican Riviera cruises from Long Beach. The week-long cruises will visit seaside resort towns including Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan.
Carnival is also preparing to welcome Mardi Gras to the fleet in August 2020.Â
