Former Scenic Group and Azamara managing director Richard Twynam has been appointed to lead a number of educational businesses within the Travelopia brand.

Twynam, who announced his departure from Scenic earlier this year, will take the helm of Skibound, Travelbound, Edwin Doran Sports and JCA as managing director in the new year.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Twynam said: “Pleased to say that I have started an exciting new role. Learning the business from the current MD over the next few months and will be taking the reigns in the New Year.”

Twynam ‘excited’ to start new Travelopia role

Prior to his time with Scenic Group, Twynam was managing director travel and cruise testing for healthcare firm Prenetics EMEA. He has also held consulting roles with Riviera Travel and Kuoni, as well as being non executive director for Coral Expeditions.
