Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed Karen Cameron as divisional sales manager, covering the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The former P&O Cruises, Cunard and Princess Cruises regional manager will join the line on 1 February, reporting to head of distribution Nicola Harper.
She will work alongside Louise Tansey, who is also joining Ambassador as divisional sales manager for the south and Wales.
In her new role, Cameron will develop existing commercial relationships to “maximise sales opportunities while instigating new agent and trade partnerships”, the cruise line said.
Ambassador Cruise Line growing team
Harper said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Karen to the Ambassador Cruise Line family as divisional sales manager.
“With a great reputation in the trade, Karen has considerable leadership experience and deep knowledge and insight of the UK holiday market, which will only benefit the brand as we look to showcase our premium-value product to our valued agent and trade partners.”
Cameron added: “I am absolutely delighted to be appointed as divisional sales manager for Ambassador Cruise Line.
“It’s an exciting time in the company’s journey and I can’t wait to get on board with the team in Purfleet while working with our key contacts across the north in my new role.
“I’m really looking forward to providing them with all the support and tools they need as Ambassador continues to provide exceptional levels of service to agents and trade partners.”
Ambassador said it is looking to recruit further members to its trade support team with additional appointments set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Earlier this month (January), Ambassador said its booking revenue was up 341 per cent year-on-year for the first two weeks of January, with a “healthy outlook on future sailings”.
