Ambassador Cruise Line names Louise Tansey as divisional sales manager

Ambassador Cruise Line has announced the appointment of Louise Tansey as divisional sales manager.

The line said it had gone through a “rigorous recruitment process” to find Tansey, who will report to the line’s head of distribution Nicola Harper.

Tansey will officially join the business on 1 February and take over responsibility for key Ambassador Cruise Line accounts.

Tansey, who was most recently sales manager for the central region at the Scenic Group, began her travel career in retail with a local independent agency, progressing from manager to sales manager before moving to Bourne Leisure, where she held business development and national sales positions for more than 14 years.

The appointment comes after Ambassador announced in November 2022 that it was separating its groups and trade department within the distribution part of the company.

Ambassador Cruise Line ‘enhancing’ relationships

Harper said: “I’m delighted to confirm the appointment of Louise Tansey as Ambassador Cruise Line’s divisional sales manager.

“Louise is a well-known and respected individual in the travel industry and brings with her considerable trade sales experience.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Louise to the team as Ambassador continues to drive day-to-day trading and enhance third party relationships.”

Tansey added: “I’m really excited to be joining the Ambassador trade team.

“The business has so many exciting opportunities for agents and trade partners in the pipeline.

“I can’t wait to share these with them and help them to fulfil their full potential promoting the UK’s leading premium value cruise line.”

On 17 January, the cruise line opened registrations for its UK-wide ship visit programme.

Travel agents will be able to get on board either Ambience – which is currently in service – or Ambitionwhich launches this May.
