Ryan Readman joins Ambassador Cruise Line

Ryan Readman will be joining as business development manager (BDM) for trade sales on 3 April, reporting to the line’s divisional sales managers Louise Tansey and Karen Cameron.

Readman moves to the line from Scenic Group, where he was trade support executive.

Readman said: “I’m very excited to join Ambassador Cruise Line at such a key time in its journey.

“As we look to showcase our premium-value product to our valued agent and trade partners, I’m looking forward to working alongside the Ambassador team to help promote all the great opportunities available to them.”

Ambassador Cruise Line ‘dedicated’ to supporting agents

Ambassador has also confirmed the promotion of Andrew Santry to business development executive. Santry will be moving over from his current role as senior reservations specialist in the contact centre.

Elsewhere, Katie O’Doherty has been promoted to the role of reservations assistant manager, while Michelle Shields, who has over 20 years’ experience in the travel industry, will start as reservations specialist on 19 April.

In addition, Rebecca Dedman will start on 24 April, again as a reservations specialist.

Ambassador Cruise Line head of distribution Nicola Harper said: “I am delighted to welcome Ryan to Ambassador and confirm Andrew’s well-deserved promotion as we look to further enhance the trade team function at Ambassador.

“Our valued trade partners are key to our success and we are dedicated to supporting them in the best way we can by supplying them with all the support and tools they need.

“The trade team is key to this and the expansion of the team will ensure we are able to engage with our trade partners on another level with more store visits, trainings and ship visits than ever before.”

Ambassador Cruise Line is also recruiting for a BDM for groups and BDM for the north.

This month, Ambassador revealed details about its travel agent concession programme for 2023/24.

The scheme, which is returning for a second year, will give agents the opportunity to experience the line’s two ships – Ambience and Ambition.
