Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed Carly Bowkett as its new business development manager for Scotland, the north of England and Northern Ireland
Reporting into divisional sales manager Karen Cameron, Bowkett will have responsibility for trade sales while fostering existing commercial relationships to maximise sales opportunities and drive day-to-day trading while instigating new agent and trade partnerships.
With experience in frontline customer service positions, Bowkett joins Ambassador from Protected Travel Shop under PTS in Fleetwood, Lancashire, where she was store manager.
“I am delighted to welcome Carly to the Ambassador family,” said Cameron. “She is a confident, outgoing and enthusiastic addition to the team, and this will only benefit the brand as we look to continue providing our valued agent partners with all the support and tools they need.
“I’m confident that Carly’s arrival will see Ambassador go from strength to strength in the north as we look to serve both the business and our partners in the most effective and productive way possible.”
Ambassador bolsters trade support team with Garner addition
In addition to Bowkett’s arrival, Ambassador has confirmed Audra Garner will be leaving her role in its contact centre to join the trade team as trade support assistant to bolster the support function.
Garner, who has worked in the cruise industry for several years and was previously a sales consultant at Thomas Cook Retail, will move into her new role on 2 April reporting into trade support manager Beth Barker.
The announcement comes after Ambassador confirmed the dates of its 2024 UK-wide ship visit programme for its trade partners and agents, with registration opening last month.
