AmaWaterways has launched a third Seven River Journey for autumn 2023 following the “overwhelming popularity” of the line’s summer and spring editions.
The 46-night sailing will take guests through 14 countries, departing from Paris on 24 August 2023.
Guests will cruise on AmaLyra along the Seine, before transferring to AmaCerto in Amsterdam to experience the sites along the Scheldt, Maas, Rhine, Main and Moselle rivers.
The journey will conclude with two weeks on board AmaVerde sailing the full length of the Danube. Prices start from £21,830pp.
AmaWaterways’ other Seven River Journeys are scheduled to depart on 20 April and 1 June 2023.
AmaWaterways executive vice president and co-founder Kristin Karst said: “Our Seven River Journeys have generated such an amazing response from our guests, and we are delighted to offer yet another opportunity for travellers to immerse themselves in the beautiful regions of Europe during one of my favourite times of year, the delightful autumn season.
“From exploring fairytale castles and storybook villages enveloped in brilliant autumn colours to enjoying seasonal wines and the autumn apple harvest, Seven River Journey – Autumn Edition takes place during the perfect time of year for guests to spend extended time in some of Europe’s most-sought after destinations.”
Speaking to Cruise Trade News about the itineraries, AmaWaterways UK MD Jamie Loizou said: “Last year, we saw an increase in demand for our custom combination cruises with the optional pre and post-cruise land packages, which showed us there definitely was an appetite for our guests to stay longer and experience more.”
AmaWaterways has also unveiled a new river cruise experience in Colombia. The line will sail the Magdalena River on AmaMagdalena, a new custom-built ship.
Starting in December 2023, the programme will consist of two seven-night itineraries and pre and post-cruise land programmes, as well as activities such as kayaking, hiking and birdwatching.
