Sunlit terraces
One of Norwegian Epic’s featured itineraries offer a mix of major cities and coastal towns. The seven-day Mediterranean sailing from Barcelona to the Salerno on the Amalfi Coast, calls at Barcelona, Provence (Marseille), Nice/ Monaco (Villefranche), Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Messina (Sicily), Salerno and Rome (Civitavecchia). Customers will be off to a good start with Barcelona’s Gothic grandeur, where they can marvel at Gaudi’s landmarks that remain ever-popular after years in stasis.
Nice, meanwhile, opens the door to the French Riviera, where one can wander past palm-lined promenades, browse Provençal markets and relax over a glass of rose with the sea shimmering nearby. Then, guests can into the heart of the Renaissance in Florence, where excursions include gallery tours, frescoed chapels and sun-warmed piazzas, heavy with history.
Sea days change the pace on this trip as guests are spoilt for choice between pool decks and shaded loungers. There’s more fun at the video arcade on Deck 15 with classic and modern games, plus the teen-focused Entourage club with air hockey and foosball.
Tropics to tapas
NCL also offers a Transatlantic: Spain from San Juan, Puerto Rico itinerary aboard Norwegian Epic which calls at San Juan, Funchal (Madeira), Seville (Cadiz), Motril, Cartegena, Ibiza, Palma (Majorca) and Barcelona.

The next two stops at Motril and Cartagena unfold with Roman ruins, heritage castles and traditional markets where one can have a cheeky glass of vino and tapas.
In Ibiza, the glittering bay and whitewashed streets of its historic town in Dalt Vila feel lively. For a moment of tranquillity, point clients to the family-friendly Cala Llonga beach where they can relax by its horse-shoe shaped bay, dotted with pine trees.
At Palma de Mallorca, your customers won’t want to leave before trying the island’s iconic, coiled sweet pastry, the Ensaimada, with circles of dough dusted with powdered sugar that pairs beautifully with a cortado.
