A-Rosa River Cruises names Michelle Daniels as new sales director
Former Light Blue Travel commercial director Michelle Daniels has joined A-Rosa River Cruises as its new sales director
Daniels will take up the role on 22 April and will be responsible for taking the lead on the river cruise lines UK sales strategy, which remains 100% B2B focused.
Daniels, who spent two and a half years with Light Blue representing the company’s American Queen Voyages and Nicko Cruises brands in the UK, has also held roles with Tripsmiths, Voyages to Antiquity and Cruise and Maritime Voyages.
She began her career in travel with the Passenger Shipping Association in 1997, before joining the British Incoming Tour Operators Association in 1998 and then Island Cruises in 2002 as regional sales manager.
She replaces Stephen Joyner at A-Rosa River Cruises, who left the line in January to join Crystal Cruises.

Daniels latest in string of trade-focussed hires from A-Rosa
Last year, A-Rosa appointed former Classic Collection regional sales manager Emma Rodgers as its new regional sales manager for the north.
She began her career as a store manager for Kuoni before moving into account management for both KLM and Riviera Travel.
Joyner, who joined A-Rosa in 2019, also held roles as cruise club manager for The Travel Network Group (TTNG) and strategic account manager for Royal Caribbean.
