Join Cruise Trade News as we take a tour around Princess Cruises’ first-ever LNG powered vessel, Sun Princess
Set to be named by godmother and actress Hannah Waddingham in the presence of local dignitaries, executives and staff in Barcelona on 23 April, the 4,300 guest vessel hit the seas for the first time earlier this year.
It was not without its teething problems, however, with Princess being forced to cancel the ship’s inaugural sailing twice.
However, it has since embarked on its first voyage around the Mediterranean, with Cruise Trade News recently on board to sample the ship’s features as well as its variety of shoreside excursions.
Princess Cruises to debut new venues on board Sun Princess
The vessel features new dining, entertainment and activity options, as well as a range of staterooms and suites across a broad spectrum of categories.
It will also include the Dome, a transformational entertainment venue inspired by the terraces of Santorini, a Piazza and the three-storey Horizons Dining Room.
Additional favourites with new designs scheduled to debut on Sun Princess include Alfredo’s Pizzeria, which will feature a new open-mouth oven, the line’s largest Princess Casino, and Crown Grill, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, and Princess Live!.
