Viva Cruises will operate seven Christmas cruises on European rivers throughout November and December, with prices starting from £550pp.
The line’s first new-build ship, Viva One, which launched in April 2022, will run two four-night itineraries on the Moselle and Rhine rivers.
The Moselle Advent Magic will run entirely in Germany, visiting the cities of Coblenz, Bernkastel-Kues, Trier and Cochem – from £650pp.
Meanwhile, the Rhine Christmas Cruise will call at Coblenz, Boppard, Rüdesheim am Rhein, Mainz and Frankfurt.
The 152-passenger Viva Tiara will offer a variety of itineraries departing from Frankfurt. From here, the Rhine Short Trip voyage will cruise along the Rhine towards Mainz, Mannheim and Strasbourg, available from £550pp.
In addition, the Main Short Trip cruise will take in Wertheim, Würzburg and Miltenberg. Both feature festive excursions, including visits to Christmas markets and half-timbered houses.
Viva Cruises growing the fleet
Elsewhere, Viva Moments has two six-night cruises from Düsseldorf, one crossing the Rhine towards Strasbourg – the Rhine Advent Magic upstream – and the other returning back to Düsseldorf and visiting Frankfurt, Coblenz, Bonn and Cologne.
A total of six cruises along the Rhône will be held on Viva Voyage. The Rhône Magical Advent itinerary will start and finish in Lyon, calling at Tain-l’Hermitage, Arles, Avignon and Viviers.
Those visiting Lyon from 8-11 December will also have the chance to see the Festival of Lights, a four-evening event when the city’s buildings are celebrated with original light installations.
In July, Viva Cruises revealed that its second new-build ship will launch in early 2023. Viva Two’s maiden voyage will depart from Frankfurt on 1 April.
