Virgin Voyages has confirmed comedian and actor Jack Whitehall will headline its 2025 Comedy Fest sailing
The BRIT Awards host and Hollywood actor will join the six-night sailing from Portsmouth to La Coruña, Bilbao, and Bordeaux on 30 August.
The line will also launch a new US-based Comedy Festival this year, which will see a range of comedians perform onboard a five-night voyage return from Miami to Bimini and Costa Maya on 10 August.
It comes as Virgin Voyages’ unveils new menus at Extra Virgin and Gunbae. At Extra Virgin, the ship’s Italian-inspired trattoria, new pastas, arancini, seafood risotto, and roasted monkfish will be added from May.
Gunbae, the only Korean BBQ at sea, will see the addition of shrimp kimbap rolls, bulgogi fire meat, and bo ssam (whole roasted pork butt with oysters and caviar) from July.
Scarlet Lady’s recent refurbishment – complete with new suites, VIP poolside cabanas and a glamorous new mermaid – also brought the addition of two new shows in the ship’s multi-transformational theatre, an interactive Y2K party and a concert-style It’s a Rock Show-ke.
Virgin Voyages will also add Panama City (Panama) and the island of St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands) to its growing list of international ports of call.
It comes after the line reported a 300 per cent increase in revenue from 2024 as well as a 300 per cent increase in bookings, following its best-ever booking day last year.
The adults-only cruise line, which marked its single biggest booking day on Black Friday on 29 November, also reported a further increase of more than 60% in overall revenue growth versus 2023, with 2025 projected to be up by a further 50 per cent.
