Virgin Voyages hails 300% increase in booking revenue

Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady sailing

Virgin Voyages has reported a 300 per cent increase in revenue from 2024 as well as a 300 per cent increase in bookings, following its best-ever booking day last month

The adults-only cruise line, which marked its single biggest booking day on Black Friday on 29 November, also reported a further increase of more than 60% in overall revenue growth versus 2023, with 2025 projected to be up by a further 50 per cent.

Record-breaking occupancy for the line’s Mediterranean and Caribbean sailings helped guide Virgin Voyages to a successful 2024, while new itineraries in Alaska and North America have also helped drive demand.

Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages, said: “We are so grateful for the support that we’re seeing from our loyal customers and travel advisor community.

“Breaking records would not have been possible without our [agents], and we’re as committed to them as they are to us.

“In an environment where value is disappearing and travellers are feeling the pinch of changes from others, we are doubling down on being an incredible value for [guests] with all our inclusions, such as Wi-Fi, soft drinks, still and sparking water, unlimited fitness classes, no upcharges for specialty dining and more.”

Earlier this month, Virgin Voyages announced plans to introduce a new Annual Pass booking option, where customers can hop onto any ship, anytime, from anywhere, for an entire calendar year
