Virgin Voyages has unveiled its second ship, Valiant Lady, due to launch in May 2021.
The new vessel will sail seven-night Mediterranean sailings out of Barcelona to destinations including France, Italy and Spain.
“We are thrilled to unveil the name of our second ship – Valiant Lady – and to deliver on our commitment to offer travellers a sea change in how they can experience cruising in this fantastic part of the world,” said CEO of Virgin Voyages Tom McAlpin.
“Our Sailors will fall in love with the places we go and the moments and memories they will be able to create on our gorgeous ship. After all, there is no better way to sail the seven seas then doing it the Virgin way.”
Valiant Lady will dock at the World Trade Centre in Barcelona, in walking distance from diverse neighbourhoods such as Poble-sec, el Raval, the Gothic Quarter, Port Vell and famed urban beach La Barceloneta.
With Sunday sail aways, customers will be given plenty of opportunity to explore Barcelona and Virgin Voyages will also be offering many flight options to the vessel.
All three itineraries will visit Barcelona and include a Friday overnight stay in Ibiza, renowned for its dynamic party scene, beach clubs and bohemian markets.
The first itinerary will stop in Ibiza, Monte Carlo, Marseille and Olbia, while the second will call at Ibiza, Toulon, Ajaccio, Marina di Carrara and Cagliari. The third will focus mainly on Spanish regions, sailing to Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Malaga and Gibraltar.
Valiant Lady will stay later in port, so guests have the flexibility to make the most of their time at each destination if they so wish.
Valiant Lady will begin sailing in May 2021, and bookings for the three Mediterranean itineraries will open on 19 December 2019.
Virgin Voyages’ first ship, Scarlet Lady, is due to debut in April 2020.
