Virgin Voyages has announced that it will partner with Virgin Atlantic Flightstore to offer its agents a convenient way of booking packages for customers.
Travel agents will be able to use Virgin Atlantic Flightstore to book customers a Virgin Voyages cruise, with the option to add Virgin Atlantic flights at competitive rates.
Virgin Voyages associate vice president Shane Riley said: “We are so excited to be able to respond to the feedback from the trade. Our First Mates told us they wanted the ability to sell Virgin Voyages packages, including Virgin Atlantic flights and pre/post Voyage hotels add-ons.
“Virgin Atlantic Flightstore is extremely well-positioned in the industry and this development further demonstrates Virgin Voyages’ commitment to our First Mates. We will now have the ability to provide ‘ready-made’ packages that First Mates can use to promote Virgin Voyages to their future sailors.”
Bookings can be combined for guests with pre and post-voyage accommodation in preferred partner hotels.
By booking through Flightstore, agents will earn on anything they sell at 10 per cent commission. Booked across the cruise company, they will have access to ‘tail to sail’ packages including flights and sailings, including additional sailor perks.
Virgin Atlantic head of consumer sails Sara Andell said: “This is an exciting trade opportunity for our bookers to use Virgin Voyages and demonstrates the very best in partnering, to make the most of this one of a kind travel experience.
“We know that passengers will love the option to experience even more of the signature Virgin customer experience by being able to fly Virgin Atlantic before joining up with fellow sailors onboard Virgin Voyages. Likewise, bookers will love the convenience of having both products readily available to book in one place.”
The inaugural ship, Scarlet Lady, will set sail on its maiden voyage in April 2020 from Miami, with the new partnership enabling bookers to combine a cruise with Virgin Atlantic flights to and from Miami.
Virgin Atlantic flies daily from London Heathrow to Miami with one-stop itineraries available with Delta Air Lines. Virgin Atlantic Flightstore will also have the ability to package Mediterranean itineraries on board its second ship, Valiant Lady, using Virgin Atlantic’s partner airlines.
The second ship in its fleet, Valiant Lady, will sail seven-night Mediterranean itineraries out of Barcelona, Spain when she debuts in May 2021.
