Unforgettable Travel Group has announced the creation of a dedicated trade team to better support travel agents.
The company – which operates the Unforgettable Travel Company, Cruise Croatia, Unforgettable Croatia and Unforgettable Greece – will also launch a new travel agent portal.
The trade team is to be headed up by Pietro Molica Lazzaro, in the new role of partnerships manager.
He will report to Unforgettable co-founder and commercial director Graham Carter.
Lazzaro has been with the company for four years, most recently as senior European travel specialist.
The portal will offer agents access to exclusive offers, social media and digital marketing assets, as well as opportunities to register for fam trips.
The announcement coincides with the launch of the Unforgettable Group’s 2024 programme, which sees a 35 per cent increase in capacity compared to 2023.
Unforgettable Group to ‘build agent community’
Lazzaro said: “Our aim is to build a strong and happy community of travel agents because of the personalised service we can offer them and the fantastic product available to our mutual guests.
“The new portal will give agents all the tools they need to understand and promote our brands, and allow 60 agents to register for our amazing fam trip programme.
“I feel privileged to be leading on the growth of our agent channel at such an exciting time.”
Carter added: “Our travel trade revenue now accounts for £3.6m of the group’s turnover and we’re seeing double digit monthly growth from our agent partners.
“There’s been a huge increase in consumer demand for small ship cruising, so we know this investment into a trade specific team and agent resources will be worthwhile.”
