TV stars to join CMV October cruises

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is hosting an array of TV stars on cruises to the Canary Islands and Madeira this October.

The Magellan sails from Bristol port on 7 October with the stars of the Crafty Beggars, calling at La Coruña for Santiago de Compostela, Gibraltar, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira, Lisbon, and Cobh for Cork.

Meanwhile, the Columbus sails from London Tilbury on 12 October on a TV Comedy Legends themed cruise, calling at Amsterdam, Gibraltar, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira, and Leixões.

Fares for these 15-night Canary Islands and Madeira cruises are available from £799pp.

The sailing on the Columbus will feature John Challis and Sue Holderness, from Only Fools & Horses and Green Green Grass, Jeffrey Holland, of Hi-De-Hi, and Dad’s Army fame, Judy Buxton, from Rising Damp, Sue Hodge, ‘Allo ‘Allo and The Muppets, and Roy Hudd, from The Chastity Belt and Ashes to Ashes.

Additional special guests will be announced closer to the time of departure.

Passengers on the Magellan cruise will be joined by Julie Peasgood and Wendy Turner Webster, of Crafty Beggars, for expert tuition on a range of craft activities.

Fares quoted are based on two people sharing a twin inner cabin and include full board cuisine, afternoon teas and late-night snacks, Captain’s Cocktail Party, complimentary tea and coffee from 6am to midnight, as well as big show entertainment, cabarets and classical interludes.

In addition, the price includes daytime activities and leisure facilities, guest speaker and arts and crafts, porterage of luggage, port to cabin, and port taxes.
