TUI River Cruises will launch a second ship on the Nile next winter after it saw strong demand for the river in 2024
TUI Bahareya will be the sixth ship to join its fleet and the second on the Nile following the launch of TUI Al Horeya later this year.
The vessel will operate seven-night all-inclusive round-trip sailings from Luxor with two itineraries, accommodating 136 passengers and 68 cabins including standard French balcony cabins and superior cabins.
There will be two non-stop flights per week which will operate from Gatwick and Manchester to Luxor on a Tuesday from 4 November 2025 until 21 April 2026.
Katy Berzins, head of TUI River Cruises, said: “This ship signifies our continued growth as a relatively new river cruise brand, and we are confident that given sales for our first Nile cruise, the launch of TUI Bahareya will go down really well with current and prospective customers.”
She continued: “TUI Bahareya will offer a different culturally immersive experience onboard and will allow customers to get a taste of Egypt through its modern Arabic inspired décor, cuisine, activities and entertainment onboard.”
Egyptologists will be on hand throughout the sailings and the vessel will include a top deck swimming pool, a massage tent, an entertainment area, restaurant, Al Fresco dining, and a boutique shop.
TUI River Cruises to visit Luxor and Aswan with new Nile ship
Like the rest of the fleet, TUI Bahareya will include a day and night entertainment programme, tailored activities onboard and a range of excursions which have been curated by destination experts.
The new Ancient Gods and famous Pharaohs itinerary will depart on 4 November 2025 and the Legends of the Nile cruise will sail for the first time on 2 December 2025. Ports of call include Luxor, Kom Ombo, Aswan and Edfu, with TUI Bahareya alternating the itineraries each month.
Both sailings are available from £1,499pp based on two adults sharing a Superior French Balcony cabin on an all-inclusive basis. Price includes flights from Gatwick on 6 January 2026, two excursions and transfers.
