Star Clippers to host exclusive lunch events to woo homeworkers

Star Clippers

Star Clippers is looking to bolster its ties with homeworking agents with a series of lunch events in partnership with Kirker Holidays and Inspiring Travel

Following the launch of the second edition of the tall-ship specialist’s Captain’s Collection brand earlier this year, the line will focus on educating homeworkers with the events in London, York and Birmingham.

The initiative’s shift to home-based agents, named Homeworker Collection, consists of three regional lunches to be attended and hosted by representatives from all three brands.

The events, which start in The Ivy in Birmingham on 23 October, include a three-course meal and presentations by Star Clippers, Kirker Holidays and Inspiring Travel.

The second instalment will take place in The Ivy in St Helens Square, York, and the third will be held in The Pygmalion Room of The Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden, London.

Star Clippers to continue demonstrating ‘ongoing trade loyalty’

Fay McCormack, general manager of Star Clippers’ UK GSA, said: “Our Captain’s Collection brand offers enhanced and elevated packages that have been hand-picked for those with a desire to experience unique and elevated once-in-a-lifetime holidays.

“It is our commitment and duty to ensure homeworkers are educated on this concept and, alongside Inspiring Travel and Kirker Holidays, we are excited to continue demonstrating our ongoing loyalty to agents.”

Earlier this year the line invited 15 travel agents to embark Star Flyer for an eight-night sailing from Malaga to Rome. Agents from The Cruise Village, Miles Morgan Travel, The Travel Bureau, Deva Travel, Iglu, Glen Travel, Gates Travel, Peakes Travel and more joined the event.
