Silversea Cruises is taking reservations for its World Cruise 2017, a 116-day ocean voyage from San Francisco to Monte Carlo on board Silver Whisper.
The trip will encompass 62 destinations in 25 countries, with late-night and overnight stays to allow ample time to see the sights.
Departing January 6, 2017, the all-suite Silver Whisper will sail from San Francisco Bay for Hawaii and cross the International Date Line to the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia.
Then through Bali and Sandakan, arriving Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore, before setting a course for India, Arabia’s and the Mediterranean.
“World voyages are all about cultural immersion, new discoveries, and having time to get to know your fellow travellers,” said Lisa McAuley, commercial director, UK and Ireland.
“Our intimate Silver Whisper accommodates just 382 guests, providing the perfect ambiance where guests can mingle and form lasting friendships as they experience some of the most fascinating and secluded places on Earth.”
Guests sailing the full 116 days of World Cruise 2017 will have a variety of amenities, including a gala Bon Voyage reception, dinner and overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, baggage valet service, business class air and transfers (between airport, hotel, and Silver Whisper), a $4,000 Onboard Spending Credit (per double-occupancy suite), complimentary laundry service, and commemorative gifts.
The cruise line is enhancing the perks in 2017 with the addition of complimentary dry cleaning service and free unlimited wifi.
In addition, three on shore events will be available on a complimentary basis to full-cruise guests. These events offer the opportunity to explore the site of China’s terracotta army of warriors in Xian on an overnight tour from Shanghai; witness free-roaming exotic animals on Sir Bani Yas island off the coast of Abu Dhabi, followed by lunch at the island’s resort; a visit to Hangar 37, the entry point to Hawaii’s Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbour.
Also, two Silversea Experiences will be complimentary for guests sailing 50 or more days: a festive beach party featuring lunch and entertainment set on Boracay Island and a presentation at Malta’s Teatru Manoel, an 18th-century theatre.
Guests will also have the chance to meet and mingle with destination experts, academics, journalists, diplomats and other specialists.
Local entertainment, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, and regional specialities will provide further immersion in each global destination.
