Luxury cruise line Seabourn has opened up bookings for its new ship, Seabourn Venture.

The line’s first purpose-built expedition ship is scheduled to launch in December 2021, with tickets for her inaugural itineraries now open for booking.

Between December 2021 and April 2022, Seabourn Venture will embark on a series of 10- to 14-day Norwegian Winter voyages, cruising the coastlines of Norway.

Passengers will get to experience Norway’s snowy winter landscape, learn about Viking history and have the chance to spot the Northern Lights.

Being an expedition ship, the cruise line is offering a host of inclusive and optional expedition outdoor activities.

These will include winter favourites such as skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing and dog- and reindeer-sledging.

There will also be dedicated excursions to see the Northern Lights, allowing passengers to camp out overnight to make the most of their view.

Other excursions include a concert in the Northern Lights Cathedral in the northern town of Alta.

President of Seabourn Josh Leibowitz said:

“Our Norwegian winter itineraries were carefully designed to offer guests the potential to view one of earth’s true wonders, the Northern Lights.

“There will be no better way to explore Norway’s winter beauty than on our new ultra-luxury expedition ship and all the activities it offers.”

Seabourn Venture is the debut expedition ship from Seabourn, combining luxury with adventure and exploration.

The ship will carry six-seat submarines, expedition kayaks, 24 zodiacs and allow guests to truly explore Norway’s enchanting winter landscape.

Guests on Seabourn Venture‘s Norwegian Winter sailings will receive complimentary custom-designed jackets and backpacks made in collaboration with Helly Hansen – the cruise line’s official apparel partner.

Sailings on Seabourn Venture will kick off on 11 December 2021, with a Norway, Northern Lights and North Cape sailing.
