Scenic reshapes trade team and promotes Davies to head of sales

Scenic Jonathon Davies

Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours and Emerald Cruises has promoted Jonathon Davies to head of sales and announced plans to reshape its trade sales team

Davies will take up his new role with immediate effect and report into Nick Hughes, director of sales, partnerships and strategic growth.

In his new position, Davies will manage the four-strong on-the-road sales team including national key account manager Wendi Hardy and sales managers Lewis Quigley, William Young and Danny Joel.

Davies has been with the business for more than two years and, Scenic said, has been “instrumental” in driving growth with agent partners for the business.

Hughes said: “I am delighted for Jonathan and look forward to working with him much more closely in the coming months. His strong commercial acumen, natural leadership and significant relationships is invaluable to our business.”

Davies’ promotion has allowed for a reorganisation of the existing sales team. Whilst all account managers will continue to support agent relationships, the team will not solely focus on geographic regions. Instead, they will each focus on accounts across the UK to provide agents with a consistent point of contact across their business.

Further investment is planned with an expanded training programme and imminent new hire announcements are due to be in place ahead of 2025.

Scenic confident of cementing trade-focussed position

Hughes added: “We’ve put huge effort into working much more closely with our valued trade partners this year.

“We are confident of cementing our position as providing UK travel agents with not only an industry-leading sales team, but one that provides the most comprehensive offers, support and training for its key travel agent and tour operator partners.”
