The Scenic Group (including Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises) has announced it will extend the suspension of its operations, covering land tours and river and ocean cruises, through to 31 October 2020.
Scenic UK managing director, Colin Downing, said: “Our top priority is to ensure that our guests and employees are able to travel safely before we resume operations.
“Although we have seen some easing of national lockdowns, the restrictions on travel still vary considerably from country to country and with the situation constantly changing we are sadly unable to operate our scheduled departures up to 31 October 2020.”
The group is offering booked guests a flexible future travel voucher valued at 110 per cent of monies deposited on any affected river and ocean cruise bookings, and 100 per cent of monies on land tours.
Guests will be offered a future travel voucher that can be applied to any new or existing booking across the portfolio of brands through to 31 December 2023.
Should a guest be unable to travel by 31 December 2023, the voucher is fully transferrable to another guest. Or if a guest wishes to receive a full refund, they can request a refund at their earliest convenience.
The Scenic Group has said that it is committed to protecting agent commissions on cancelled bookings that have been paid in full, and a rebooking or future travel voucher is taken.
If not paid in full, agents will earn commission on the rebooking when using a future travel voucher.
