Royal Caribbean Wonder of the Seas, the world's largest ship, will make its debut in the U.S. and Europe

Royal Caribbean launches updated travel agent app

Royal Caribbean International has developed a new app for travel agents in the UK and Ireland.

The Club Royal Plus app – which links to the Club Royal UK and Ireland trade platform – has been designed to make “agents’ lives easier”, the line said, providing information they need to sell Royal Caribbean cruises.

The new concept will launch in two phases, with the first focused on exclusive news and notifications, as well as flash sales and competitions.

Meanwhile, phase two will include training modules as part of a new knowledge hub. Agents will be able to progress and complete the modules to advance through the membership tiers and increase their benefits, including unlocking additional ballots for prizes and incentives such as ship visits.

The app will also use facial recognition for ease of access.

An ‘easier way’ to sell Royal Caribbean itineraries

With any booking logged through Club Royal Plus, agent partners can earn up to £15. This money will then be transferred to their personalised digital Mastercard, which can be linked to Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Royal Caribbean International UK, Ireland and Spain sales director Stuart Byron said: “We know how hard our travel agents work, and we want to make their job easier with the launch of Club Royal Plus.

“The new, innovative app gives agents everything they need to succeed in selling Royal Caribbean cruises both conveniently and efficiently – as well as a smart way to access their rewards.”

Earlier in March, Royal Caribbean officially welcomed Wonder of the Seas to the fleet, with the ship setting sail on its maiden voyage.

The world’s largest cruise ship will operate Caribbean itineraries through to April 2022, before heading to Barcelona and Rome for a summer in the Mediterranean.
