Royal Caribbean has announced the appointment of George Scott as regional sales manager (RSM) for Scotland.

He will start the role on January 3 and joins the company from Kuoni Travel Ltd where he held the position of store manager, and Thomson (TUI) where he was senior retail manager.

He will report into Sarah Weetman, head of retail, UK & Ireland and will be responsible for growing trade partnerships in the region as well as implementing new ideas and reinforcing Royal Caribbean’s commitment to finding the right type of cruise holiday for Scottish guests. He will also continue to build on our close and successful relationship with SPAA.

Weetman said: “We’re excited to welcome George to our UK sales team in the New Year. George brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with his extensive experience in the travel industry and great relationships with the trade, helping us develop our retail team into the industry’s best.

Scotland is an important focus for us, and as we continue to expand we know that George has the skillset required to drive this growth through 2017 and beyond.
