Riviera Travel removes regional flight supplements

Riviera Travel introduces specialist concierge service

Riviera Travel has removed regional flight supplements on all river cruise and escorted touring holidays.

The move – a first for the operator – will apply to 14 of the largest regional airports across the UK and Ireland, including Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin.

The supplements have been removed on bookings as of now.

Riviera will operate more than 1,300 regional flights next year, which will serve river cruise itineraries to the Seine, Rhone, Douro, Rhine and Danube, and touring holidays to France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Norway and Iceland.

A number of solo traveller-specific cruises and tours are on offer, all of which have a selection of regional flights.

Riviera will also have flight options out of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.

Riviera Travel offering greater ‘flexibility’

Riviera Travel head of strategy and innovation Will Sarson said: “With ever-increasing numbers of people looking to holiday from next year, we’re excited to be able to offer even more flexibility for our guests around the country.

“We offer the widest selection of dates and regional departure options across the UK and Ireland, meaning guests can enjoy the convenience of flying direct from their local airport, and all at great value.”

In other Riviera news, in early August it appointed Martin Page as a new key account manager, and Ashley Walker as an office-based agency sales administrator.
