Riviera Travel promotes Claire Hills to new retail and OTA role

Claire Hills, Riviera Travel

Riviera Travel has promoted Claire Hills to the newly created role of national sales manager for retail and OTAs, effective 1 September

Hills, who has been with the river cruise and escorted tour specialist since 2021, joined the brand as a key account manager.

As part of the changes, five key account managers will now report directly to Hills, who in turn will report to Vicky Billing, head of trade and partnerships.

Amanda Docherty, national sales manager for homeworkers, will continue to report to Billing. Darren Mussell, meanwhile, has been promoted to trade support manager, with Maddison Glut now trade support executive.

Billing said: “Claire has been instrumental in our trade delivery over the last few years and her 20 years’ experience in field-sales roles make her the perfect fit as we continue to drive trade sales.”

Riviera Travel outlines ‘ambitious’ growth plans

Billing continued: “We have ambitious growth plans, so it’s important that we have the right structure in place and I’m confident that these changes will ensure we exceed our targets.”

Hills added: “I’m delighted to be taking on this role at what is a very exciting time for Riviera. Our travel agent partners are crucial to our success and I look forward to working with our key account managers to improve our already industry-leading trade support.”

Earlier this year, the river cruise operator appointed Will Sarson to the newly created role of product director, which saw him join the executive team and report to Robin Shaw, chief operating officer.
