Riviera Travel creates trade-dedicated contact centre team

Riviera Travel has launched its first trade-dedicated contact centre team.

The four-strong team will exclusively handle agent enquiries and bookings. Riviera previously dealt with calls from agents and customers on the same telephone line.

The contact centre will operate from Riviera’s head office in Burton-on-Trent.

It is open Monday-Friday 9.00-17.30 and Saturday 09.00-17.00. Agent enquiries can also be handled on Sunday, from 10.00-16.00, via Riviera’s existing channels.

The team has all been hired internally and consists of Matt Anthony, Beverley Darmanin, Diane Ibson and Elizabeth Monk. They will report into Amy Joy, sales team manager.

Riviera Travel head of trade Thomas Morgan said: “Agents are central to the success of Riviera and our dedicated, trade-friendly team will help further strengthen communications.

“We want frontline agents to be able to build relationships with them and easily and effectively get in touch whenever they have a related question or booking enquiry.

“The team is aligned to our wider campaigns and initiatives, and help focus on messages such as our current trade-only, door-to-door promotion.

“We are absolutely committed to working alongside agents for the long term and this is another example of the partnership approach in action.”

Back in April, Riviera launched a new travel agent engagement committee to “help influence future trade support”.

The operator also recently announced that Sarah Fowler has been promoted to marketing director.
