Regent Seven Seas appoints Steve Odell as chief sales officer

Steve Odell, Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Regent Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC) has appointed former Silversea Cruises Europe president Steve Odell as its new chief sales officer.

He moves from his previous role of senior vice president and managing director for Regent and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ (NCLH) luxury line Oceania Cruises, based in Sydney.

Before that, he was NCLH senior vice president and managing director in Australia for more than four years.

He is known amongst the UK travel trade after he spent more than 17 years with Silversea Cruises in a number of roles such as vice president sales and marketing UK, Europe and Middle East and president Europe and Asia Pacific.

In his new role he will report into RSSC president Andrea DeMarco. Last year, the line promoted Paul Beale to regional vice president of sales UK.

“It’s been a privilege to work alongside such an exceptional team at Regent for over a decade, and I am incredibly proud of our collective accomplishments within the UK sales department,” Beale said.

“During my time here, we have successfully positioned Regent as an industry leader in the luxury cruise market in the UK.”

Regent Seven Seas appointments come following Grandeur launch

The additions to its sales team come after the line took delivery of its sixth ship Seven Seas Grandeur during a handover ceremony in Ancona, Italy.

With a gross tonnage of 55,500, 548 crew and capacity for 746 guests, Regent claims Grandeur provides the highest space and staff to guest ratios in the industry.

Captain Luciano Montesanto and his senior leadership team will commanded Grandeur’s maiden voyage from Venice to Barcelona on 18 November 2023.
