Princess Cruises revealed the new Sky Suites aboard its new ship Sky Princess during its shakedown cruise last week (17-20 October).
Sky Princess’ top deck Sky Suites have an impressive claim to fame: they feature the largest balconies at sea. Measuring 1,012 square feet (starboard side) and 947 square feet (port side), the balconies offer 270-degree panorama views and sleep up to five guests, making them ideal for families.
The suites on board Sky Princess feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a dining area with skylight, as well as a host of exclusive amenities.
The suites have been specifically designed for entertaining, with services including a suite manager who presumably will cater to your every whim.
Those staying in the suites can also avail themselves of the Celebrate Under the Stars progamme by calling on a mixologist, masseur, photographer, musician and DJ, as well as enjoying private star-gazing sessions through a high-powered telescope. Special events can also be catered by the ship’s award-winning chefs.
Guests will also get the chance to choose the film shown on the Movies Under the Stars 300-square-foot LED screen, as both suites benefit from an unrivalled vantage point.
Like all accommodation aboard Sky Princess, the suites feature touchless stateroom entry so there’s no need to touch, swipe or insert cards or devices into the door handle to unlock the stateroom. As a guest approaches their stateroom, the door automatically unlocks.
Another innovative feature on board is the OceanMedallion smart device, designed to deliver a new level of personalised service. Among other things, it allows guests the ability to order drinks, food and retail items such as suntan lotion and have them delivered directly anywhere onboard, including to their stateroom or suite.
Commenting on the suites, Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz said:
“Our two new Sky Suites reflect Princess Cruises’ continued commitment to offer new and expansive accommodation that meet the needs of our guests who wish to explore the world in ultimate comfort.”
Prices for the suite start from £4,999 per person but this can change depending on the length of voyage. For more information, visit princess.com.
