P&O Cruises VP of sales and marketing to leave cruise line

Alex Delamere-White is to leave his position as vice-president of sales and marketing at P&O Cruises.

Delamere-White will depart Carnival UK this summer to join retirement community developer McCarthy Stone as chief commercial officer.

P&O Cruises president Paul Ludlow said: “We are very grateful for the contribution Alex has made in his position and throughout his tenure with the business.

“He has been instrumental in many successful campaigns as well as the implementation of the Shine Rewards Club for agents and he has played a key role in the leadership team. We wish him well in his future career.”

Delamere-White said: “McCarthy Stone is going through an exciting period and I am proud to join the market leader in the retirement community sector. The business showed its value during the Covid-19 pandemic by helping keep its customers safe and well.

“To continue to be successful and support older people we must demonstrate the value of and evolve the retirement living proposition. I look forward to using my knowledge and experience to make McCarthy Stone one of the great UK brands.”
