Norwegian Cruise Line offering Prima incentive and new reward tiers

Norwegian Cruise Line takes delivery of Prima

Norwegian Cruise Line has created a new tier system in its travel agent rewards programme, and is offering agents the chance to win a stateroom on Norwegian Prima.

The Freestyle Rewards concept, which launched a year ago, allows agents to earn and collect points towards gifts or vouchers of their choice.

The new tiers, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Sapphire and Ambassador, will provide “greater benefits based on the number of points achieved over a one-year period”, NCL said.

Partners who have already been taking part in the programme are automatically assigned a tier, based on points earned during the last 12-month rolling period.

Norwegian Cruise Line senior director of sales for the UK and Ireland Gary Anslow said: “NCL Freestyle Rewards has been a great success. In just one year we have signed up over 4,000 agents, and we’re excited to see it continue to grow.

“As part of our partners first philosophy, we continue to support our valued travel agent partners and reward them for their commitment and loyalty to NCL.

“The new tier system provides even more opportunities for agents to benefit, particularly as demand returns and as we launch the new Prima class and Norwegian Prima this summer.”

Win a cruise on Norwegian Prima

Travel agents who claim bookings until 31 March 2022 will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 50 staterooms for two on Norwegian Prima’s inaugural sailing, from 12-14 August.

Norwegian Prima is the first of six in NCL’s new Prima class. The 3,215-guest ship will feature wide-open spaces and a variety of new experiences.

Speaking back in August 2021 when the ship was floated out, Norwegian Cruise Line president and CEO Harry Sommer said: “Norwegian Prima represents an exciting new chapter for our brand and the first vessel to be delivered in our groundbreaking new Prima class.

“We’ve worked closely with our partners at Fincantieri to deliver a truly remarkable vessel.”

Norwegian Viva – the second ship in the class – will begin sailing in June 2023 on a range of eight, nine and 10-day Mediterranean voyages.
