Nick Hughes has left his position as sales, strategy and partnerships director for Scenic Group with immediate effect
Hughes, who joined the business in January 2024, had oversight for the Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours and Emerald Cruises brands.
A spokesperson for the company said: “We can confirm that Nick Hughes has left the Scenic Group with immediate effect. We thank Nick for his time with the business and wish him well in his future endeavours.”
They continued: “Whilst we review the current situation, the wider UK leadership team will ensure all operations continue in a business-as-usual way and we remain focussed on supporting our valued agent partners as we head into the busy wave period.”
Last month, Hughes joined a roundtable discussion hosted by Cruise Trade News about the growth of the small-ship cruising sector.
Prior to that, the Scenic Group announced plans to expand its sales and partnership team with three new roles, including a new sales manager, key account manager and senior charter operations executive to drive sales growth and support product development.
The recruitment drive came as part of a series of investments across its trade programme to support agent partners ahead of peaks including a new partnership with the training scheme OTT.
