Nearly 400 agents and families explore P&O’s Iona in Southampton

P&O Cruises family day Southampton

P&O Cruises’ 2025 Family Day Takeover event saw nearly 400 attendees explore Iona’s family-friendly spaces and enjoy exclusive activities on board in Southampton

Attendees were treated to lunch onboard and spent the day discovering more than 30 of the ship’s venues.

Michaela Farn, from Not Just Travel, said: “What a fabulous day! None of my family had even been on a P&O Cruises ship before and they absolutely loved Iona. Being able to take some of the family on a ship visit was fantastic.”

Kiran Roopra, from InteleTravel, added: “I’ve already had customers interested in booking Iona after I shared the family day in Southampton on social media. The event was seamlessly organised from start to finish. I also loved how friendly the P&O Cruises team were.”

Tyrion Kivell-Davies, from  Travellers World UK, praised the crew for being attentive and available: “The staff were fantastic, and everyone seemed happy and engaged, making me feel at home immediately. I loved the ship and think the visit might convert my non-cruising husband.”

It comes after the line bolstered its trade partnership development team to five with the appointment of Isla Wilson and Amber Eastwood.

Wilson will take on the role of partnership development manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland, while Eastwood has been appointed as the line’s new partnership development manager for north England.

Eastwood has previously held roles at Thomas Cook, Hays Travel, Barrhead Travel, Cruise118 and, most recently, Red Sea Holidays, and Wilson previously worked for Princess Cruises and Lovingthejourneys.
