With less than five months until the launch of MSC Cruises’ new flagship, MSC World America, the line has shared a look into the ship’s construction
The vessel will feature reimagined venues and concepts when it launches in the Caribbean next year offering a European design with “North American comfort”.
The new flagship will also be the first to feature seven on board districts, each having its own atmosphere, facilities and experiences. World America will be named in a ceremony in Miami on 9 April 2025.
Bernhard Stacher, senior vice president of shipboard hospitality operations, said: “We’ve invested a lot into tailoring MSC World America to deliver a truly memorable cruise experience, with new restaurants, bars, experiences, and spaces.
“With the only Eataly restaurant at sea, a brand-new Greek restaurant Paxos, and MSC Cruises’ first comedy club The Loft, there’s really a space and experience for every guest.”
William Monts de Oca Rivera, head of guest experience innovation, added: “One of the biggest innovations for MSC World America is The Harbour, part of the Family Aventura district, a brand-new revolutionary outdoor venue specially designed for kids and families to gather, play and relax together.”
The new flagship is under construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, currently in its outfitting stage where all of the interiors, public spaces and facilities are installed.
It comes after the line announced plans to expand its global presence with the launch of its first-ever itineraries in Alaska.
